Many ways to spend a day here.
None of them wrong.
Some people come for the whitewater. Some come for the mine tours. Some come to walk a historic street and eat lunch slowly. Start with whichever one sounds like you. There is no wrong answer, and most people end up doing at least two.
ON THE WATER
Go with the flow. Whatever that means today.
Ride the whitewater with a guide, cast a line into a quiet stretch of creek, or trade the current for a long soak in the hot springs. Start mellow. Get a little splashy. The water has a way of deciding what kind of day it will be.
ON THE TRAIL
Big country. Your pace.
A short walk through the pines. A morning on two wheels. A climb you’ve been looking forward to. Find your way outside in Clear Creek, with trails and adventures that fit your experience and the people coming along. Pack a little curiosity, choose your own pace, and leave time to enjoy where you are.
ON THE SNOW
Your snow day starts closer than you think.
Learn your first turns, chase a few more runs than planned, or leave the lifts behind for a quiet snowshoe. With skiing, snowboarding, tubing and winter trails close to Denver, getting onto the snow is often the easiest part of the day.
MAIN STREET
Have an adventure without an agenda.
Start with coffee. Wander into a bookstore, browse something made nearby, or settle onto a bench beside the creek. Clear Creek’s historic main streets are made for afternoons with nowhere else to be and plenty worth slowing down for.
MINING THE PAST
History you can step into.
Walk into a mountain. Ride a railroad built to climb the seemingly impossible. Pan for gold and watch a kid’s face when something glitters in the water. More than 160 years of Colorado history is still here, waiting to become part of your story.
See the Stars
Stay for the stars.
Pull on another layer, pour something warm, and watch the first stars appear above the mountains. On a clear night in Clear Creek, looking up can become the evening’s whole plan. Share a blanket, find a familiar constellation, and let the kids ask big questions. Some adventures are worth staying up for.
On Stage
TAKE A SEAT. STAY FOR THE SHOW.
Let the evening unfold on stage. Catch a local performance, share a few laughs, or settle in for live music after a day outside. Bring good company and leave a little time for an encore.
