Let the afternoon slow down.
What to ExpectBring your swimsuit, towel, and a change of clothes for whatever comes next. Towels and locks are also available to rent on site.
Book ahead for weekends and holidays, and check current admission, time slots, and maintenance closures before leaving home. Different soaking areas have different schedules and requirements. If you’re visiting with kids, choose a family pool session and stay with them in the water. There is no lifeguard on duty. For accessibility questions, contact Indian Hot Springs before booking to discuss the spaces you’d like to use.
FIND YOUR KIND OF SOAKA little tropical. A little unexpected.
Beneath a glass dome, banana trees surround a naturally heated mineral-water pool. Bring the family, settle into the warmth, and enjoy a small change of scenery in the middle of the mountains. There are geothermal caves, private baths, and outdoor tubs, too, so you can choose the setting that suits your day.
For a quieter visit, the separate men’s and women’s caves offer soaking tubs tucked into passages carved into the rock in the early 1900s. These spaces are reserved for adults 18 and older, with no talking, phones, or cameras. Swimwear is optional on weekdays and required on weekends and holidays.
Plume Sauna ClubWarm Up. Cool Down. Stay a Little Longer.
Settle into the heat, step into the cold, and let Silver Plume slow the rest of the day down. Plume Sauna Club pairs a wood-fired cedar sauna with a cold plunge, mountain views, and a welcoming lounge just off I-70. Book a 90-minute session, move at your own pace, then stay for a drink, a snack, or a little more time in town. The lounge also hosts occasional community gatherings and events.
One adventure leads to the next. Usually to lunch.
LEAVE ROOM FOR DINNER. MAYBE BREAKFAST, TOO.
Dry off, pull on something comfortable, and head into Idaho Springs for a meal and a little wandering. Coffee, old brick, a table with room for everyone. There’s plenty of day left to enjoy slowly.
And if nobody’s ready to head home, make a night of it. Tomorrow can start with breakfast instead of a drive.
